Business/System Analyst (Accounting)

We're seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a solid background in the fintech domain and a minimum of three years in the role. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, expertise in Business Analysis techniques such as User Stories and Process Mapping.
Key Responsibilities:
Elicitation and refinement of business requirements based on stakeholders’ input and document analysis.
Driving and managing stakeholder engagement.
Performing an appropriate system gap analysis involves evaluating the differences between the current state of a system (as-is) and the desired future state (to-be). Categorize the gaps according to the criteria.
Decomposition of functional initiatives to a manageable level of backlog items.
Analysis of risks and root causes of errors in system development.
Create and maintain the systems’ functional documentation.
Contribution to backlog management
Codebase analysis to assess the complexity of development and system dependencies.
Collaboration with other teams and technical specialists to ensure successful product delivery.
Contribution to the company’s Business and System Analysis capabilities.
Requirements:
- 2+ years as a System Analyst and 3+ years as a Business Analyst;
- Experience in Fintech, Banking, or Accounting systems;
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and expectation management skills;
- Excellent in requirements elicitation, documentation, analysis, and backlog management, including functional decomposition and prioritization;
- Critical analytical thinking with the ability to evaluate information from multiple sources;
- Understanding of SDLC and general software architecture;
- Business process modeling skills (BPMN, UML, ERD);
- Knowledge of accounting system structures, functionalities, risk assessment, and integration with business applications;
- Proactive and creative approach to problem-solving;
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Google Docs, and understanding of data formats like XML and JSON;
- Ability to manage system transitions during upgrades or implementations;
- English level B2+;
- Experience with AI-powered tools for analysis, automation, or reporting in financial or accounting contexts.
Would Be a Plus:
Regulatory knowledge: Awareness of compliance and regulatory requirements in accounting, e.g. IFRS, local tax regulations, and audit standards.
SQL and Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and understanding data structures.
Lithuanian language proficiency at a conversational level is a significant advantage
