Alternative Easter: All you need to know about spending the holidays at home

Easter is approaching and we're all thinking about our family members and loved ones that we normally spend these holidays with. However, this year the best present for them will be keeping them safe by staying at home.

Meanwhile, we will make sure that the pocket money for your grandchildren or little presents for your loved ones reach their accounts before Easter morning. We are glad that Paysera clients can freely send and receive money regardless of any holidays. Moreover, our clients can as usual also send and receive money round-the-clock to and from the banks that are members of the SEPA Instant scheme. If you are planning to make a payment to a bank that is not part of SEPA Instant, you should do so before 4 pm (GTM +3) on Thursday, April 9th or it will reach the recipient only on Tuesday, April 14th.

Easter at a time of isolation and digitisation

Spending Easter at home doesn't have to mean less fun and joy for the family. We believe that everything can be more or less as usual, only… different.

  • Family time. This year, gather around the Easter table in a slightly different format. Call your relatives using video chat applications (Zoom or simply Messenger), dress up, and take a picture to remember this exceptional celebration.
  • Easter mass. Most communities of believers this year took care of live-streaming the church mass. See if anything like that is happening in your region and keep up the tradition!
  • Easter-themed games for children. For the youngest Easter fans, we prepared some of our favourite free online Easter game recommendations.

Let’s make an Easter miracle happen

Since this year we will probably save not only on travel expenses to our families but also on the big Easter meal for the whole family, we might as well donate some of these savings to those that need it most. For those that might meet Easter lonely, hungry, and ailing.

You can find various charitable organisations in the Paysera mobile app on Android devices by choosing More > Donations. Or you can pick any other organisation and support them by other available means.

Let’s share our solidarity and kindness this Easter.
